Coronation Street’s Farrel Hegarty admits what she’d ‘love to see’ in Lou Michaelis return tease
It has been no secret that the actress will be bowing out of the ITV soap, just months after making her debut in the role
Coronation Street star Farrel Hegarty has shared what she’d ‘love to see’ for Lou Michaelis if she gets to return to the cobbles.
It has been no secret that the actress will be bowing out of the ITV soap, just months after making her debut in the role. Lou arrived in February, swiftly followed by her husband, Mick, dubbed Weatherfield’s new ‘nightmare neighbours’.
They moved into Mawdsley Street at the back of Chesney and Gemma Winter-Brown’s house, which is the first time ever Corrie has extended the serial drama across the ginnel, and the pair wasted no time in ruffling feathers.
However, things took a dramatic turn when Mick brutally killed PC Craig Tinker while in the line of duty, in upsetting scenes aired in May.

But just when fans thought Mick was safely behind bars, it’s been confirmed that he’ll orchestrate a prison break which results in a siege as he makes one last-ditch attempt for freedom.
While it seems this will certainly signal Mick’s exit from the cobbles, whether that be by going on the run or being put behind bars, it’s not yet clear how Lou’s exit will play out.
It also means an exit for actrss and TikTok star Farrel, who has now oepned up about filming her final scenes. She told Inside Soap: “It was really sad.
“On your last day on set, they give you a little round of applause. Julia [Goulding, aka Shona Platt] is one of my best mates and she popped round the corner. You know when you see your mate and it just makes you upset? I saw her little face and I burst into tears!”
She was also quizzed by the publication on what her dream storyline for Lou would be, if she ever came back.
Farrel said: “I would love to see what she’s capable of without Mick. They were so dependent on each other, and it was so toxic. There’s a lot of joy and fun in her and also mischief. Obviously, it wouldn’t be strait-laced, would it? She’d go on a rampage!”
