Tasha Ghouri has said ‘we both made mistakes’ after Andrew Le Page hit back at her recent comment about the end of their relationship.

The pair ended up taking to their public platforms with separate statements as their back-and-forth comments about what happened between them got out of hand.

Tasha recently said she ‘had to break Andrew’s heart’ when she called time on their relationship after her Strictly Come Dancing stint.

The reality star was supported by her boyfriend during her stint in the BBC One dance contest last year. Tasha, the show’s second-ever deaf contestant, made it all the way to the final with her professional dance partner Aljaz Skorjanec.

While Andrew, who she met on Love Island in 2022, did appear on the sidelines during her Strictly journey, things weren’t going so well behind the scenes.

Rumours began in January that Tasha and Andrew – who met on Love Island in 2022 – had parted ways after a two-and-a-half-year romance.

Tasha, 26, spoke out about the break-up during an appearance on Rylan Clark’s podcast, How To Be in Love. But as she shared hopes that one day she and Andrew, 33, could talk about things in order for her to get “closure”, he took to social media to fire back.

After making an accusation, he fumed: “No one is perfect in a relationship but you keep talking s*** about me, I’ll start talking. She did one too many podcasts unfortunately. This is your closure chat.”

Tasha has since shared a statement to her Instagram Story, in which she wrote: “I just want to address recent hurtful comments about me & Andrew. We’ve always been open about who we are and what we went through. The hate and harsh words have been unfair and overwhelming for both of us.”

She continued “No one deserves to be torn down, especially when they’re trying to heal. We’ve both made mistakes, we’ve both learned, and we’ve both grown. But the judgement and cruelty we are facing from people online has been hard.”

Tasha added: “Please remember that behind every nasty post, every comment, every story, there are real people, with real emotions. Always be kind. I want us both to be happy and I wish him nothing but the best.”

Andrew also shared a more civil post about the “noise” surrounding his former relationship, before insisting he’ll always be “grateful” for the time they spent together.

He signed it off: “I truly just want us both to move on and be happy. Wishing Tasha nothing but the best and I’ll always be proud of her.”
