British tennis player Emma Raducanu’s world ranking, Wimbledon record and relationship rumours
Emma Raducanu takes on Aryna Sabalenka on Friday night
Emma Raducanu took to Wimbledon’s Centre Court on Friday night to take on tennis player Aryna Sabalenka, who has been dubbed the woman to beat at this year’s championships.
Ranking at 40th in the WTA singles rankings Raducanu has caught the attention of fans over the course of her career, but these rankings have placed Sabalenka as the front-runner for tonight’s match.
Raducanu however turned heads after her win at the 2021 US Open, but her home matches at Wimbledon have also seen monumental achievements for the 22-year-old.
Making four appearances at Wimbledon, Emma Raducanu has twice made it to the fourth round at the ionic SW19 championship.

Aside from her US open win, these positions have been defining moments within the player’s career as her two best Grand Slam performances.
In 2022, she reached the second round at Wimbledon but did not play the following year due to an injury.
However, after making it to the third round of the Wimbledon championship on Wednesday, Raducanu’s latest success was overshadowed by rumours of a potential love interest standing in the Centre Court stands.
Earlier this summer, relationship rumours swirled that Raducanu was spending time with fellow US Open champion Carlos Alcaraz.
However further questions over Raducanu’s relationship have arisen following an interview where she discussed Olivia Rodrigo watching her matches in the tournament so far.
Speaking on Rodrigo’s music she said: “No. She’s got some great heartbreak songs.”
She added: “If you’re ever going through it, she’s the one [laughs]. I wouldn’t know though! Of course not.”
